New games

I've gotten a hold on my work for now, so I'm taking a little bit of today to wander about the internets.

I've found a few interesting things so far, such as 'pokemon world online'

Along with a digimon version.

I haven't gotten a chance to play the pokemon version as their member limit is maxed out.

However digimon I'm playing now.
It's not entirely bad really. There are many people about, yet spawn rates seem decent in the new area. The English isn't terrible, and you have the usual slight grind to level up your digimon.

There's so far a terrible lack of character customization, where there are 4 or 5 diffrent human sprites (Those of the original TV series) And 4-5 digimon as well.

It seems there's a way to capture diffrent digimon, however I haven't gotten to that point as well.

Do I rant or what?

So taking a few days off and glancing back I realize I rant, A lot.

Why I haven't even introduced myself. The name's Shaniqua and I like muffins.

I'm a student at the University of Toledo, A member of UT B.A.S.H, and UT Ad-Hoc.

Currently I'm studying New Media, and planning on staying for a bachelors of New Media.

Mostly I'll just end up posting about random things that are on my mind, stuff that I don't say outloud. Or just things that I figure out.

I originally intended to use this as a lauching post for things I'll be learning over the summer.

Learning Illustrator

... Or not...

Okay we are. Good lord there are a lot of profiles.
Makes a lot of things simpler though I suppose RBG, and.. point units. Awesome.

RGB, Always in this class (Because it prints easier.)
Only use CYMK in prep for re-printing, Books, screen prints.. something
that uses the diffrent screens.

Why use RBG if printers do CYMK anyways? Monitor uses RBG, RBG Also has more colors
use it as a base because the printer will auto convert to CYMK anyways.

Picas are for small ... measurements and lineart, Best to use Inches.

Bleed- Used for printing, incase something is slightly off register (newspapers ect.)

No idea what Raster effect is...
- Apparently Raster Effect is for printing/preset. (Illustrator isn't a good thing to print from.)

- Now the pen tool, which I lothe. Oi. .. Still lothing, I can't figure out this mess. The older woman besides me seems to be enjoying it. Heh. Crystal's awesome at the Pen tool, I should ask for help but, meh. Don't really care right now.

First post

So within class of digital printing we're learning about rasters and vectors.

He wants us to do this map thing on where we went. Some day, and ect. To me, this sounds dumb.

He constantly seems to be trying to learn more about us which I'm not entirely sure
how I feel about this. I'm not a big fan of him and well, don't think he particularly deserves to
find out about me.

Regardless. I can't complain seeing as I don't have an suggestion to do otherwise.
The only real assignment I'm looking forward to is the vector trace program.

I doupt I'll update this much. I don't blog. If I do it might be something on flash, or updates on what I'm learning over the summer. ... Where I do most of my learning.

Learning flash over again a few weeks. I hope this summer to work more with illustrator, Synfig(the open source animation program), Figure out what I wish to do in life after college.
One mor.. Oh, and to work on Rosetta stone so that I can continue to remember my spanish.

Right now we're learning about other pictures of this 'Fantastic' map assignment. Some people made things interesting. Some did not. .... Ugh.

I'll prolly try to get a scan of a map.

Though I'm looking forward to learning some of illustrator more then photoshop. Photoshop I've used before when I was younger. Illustrator I've rued for quite some time, and preferred to use Flash for my vector usages. Hm. Perhaps Illustrator will be more helpful.

For now, I'm ending this post and I'll make a new one for while I'm learning Illustrator.

'cause everyone and their mother will be reading these posts. And waiting with baited breath -.0
